Last updated: 2026-05-06 · Operator: albascape · Service: Funddata / Ledger Terminal
§1Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you”, “user”) and albascape (“we”, “us”, “Funddata”). By accessing the Service — the Funddata website, the Ledger Terminal interface, the public API endpoints, the AI analyst, or any related sub-domain — you agree to be bound by these Terms and by ourPrivacy policy andDisclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
§2Service description
Funddata is a research surface that aggregates third-party financial data and presents it through a unified UI plus an AI analyst. It is informational and analytical software. It is not a broker, dealer, exchange, OMS / EMS, market-data redistributor, investment advisor, or fiduciary. We do not custody assets, route orders, or solicit transactions in any security, derivative, currency, commodity, token, or fund interest.
§3Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You represent that your use of the Service is not prohibited by the laws of your country or any contractual obligation you have to a third party, including any employer or regulator. The Service is not available in jurisdictions subject to comprehensive economic sanctions or to persons listed on government denial lists.
§4Accounts & authentication
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notifysecurity@funddata.exampleimmediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security or abuse risk.
§5Intellectual property
The Funddata interface, layout, source code, design system, original commentary, and curated content are the intellectual property of albascape and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. “Funddata” and “Ledger Terminal” are unregistered trademarks of albascape. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your internal research and investment workflow. Underlying data is licensed by upstream providers; seeCopyright for the attribution stack.
§6Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise systematically extract content to bypass rate limits or build a competing data redistributor;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source from our compiled assets;
- Access systems or data you are not authorised to access;
- Use the Service to train a generative model that competes with our offering;
- Re-host, mirror, or syndicate the Service;
- Use the AI analyst for activities that would violate Anthropic’s Usage Policies (CSAM, weapons, fraud, etc.);
- Use the Service to defame, harass, stalk, threaten, or violate the rights of others;
- Submit malicious code, exploit kits, or perform load tests without our written consent;
- Misrepresent any output of the Service as a personal investment recommendation by Funddata to a third party.
§7Subscriptions, payments, refunds
Some plans require payment. Pricing, billing cycle, and inclusions are presented at checkout. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the current cycle ends; you can cancel at any time and retain access through the paid period. Refunds are issued at our discretion; refunds will normally be granted for technical issues that materially impair use of the Service for a billing cycle. Taxes are your responsibility. We may modify pricing on 30 days’ notice; changes apply to the next billing cycle.
§8Data sources & redistribution
Underlying data is supplied by third parties including Financial Modeling Prep, EODHD, Finnhub, Anthropic, SEC EDGAR, FRED / BLS / EIA / BEA, IMF, World Bank, OECD, BIS, CFTC, central banks, national statistical offices, and Polymarket. You may not redistribute, sublicense, or resell the underlying data; each provider’s licensing terms govern downstream use. “Display-only” data must remain display-only. Live quotes and trade ticks are delayed or non-realtime where the provider so requires. See Copyrightfor the full attribution stack.
§9AI analyst
The Ask analyst uses Anthropic Claude with tool access to the Funddata database. Outputs are generated by a language model and may be incorrect, incomplete, or hallucinated even when grounded in real queries. You are solely responsible for verifying outputs and for any decision you make based on them. Do not use the analyst as a substitute for a licensed advisor, accountant, lawyer, or compliance officer. Do not paste confidential third-party information into the analyst without authority to do so. We retain prompt + response logs for product quality and abuse prevention (90 days; see Privacy).
§10User content
You may save research notes, watchlists, portfolios, and other user-generated content (“User Content”). You retain ownership of User Content. You grant Funddata a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and transmit User Content solely as needed to operate the Service for you. We do not claim ownership of, or use rights to, your User Content for advertising, model training, or third-party sale. You are responsible for the legality of any content you submit.
§11Third-party links and content
The Service links to or embeds third-party content (news articles, official wires, prediction-market prices, EDGAR documents, etc.). We do not endorse third-party content and are not responsible for its accuracy, availability, or legality. Each third party’s terms apply when you interact with their content.
§12Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT OUTPUT IS RELIABLE. NOTHING ON THE SERVICE CONSTITUTES INVESTMENT, LEGAL, ACCOUNTING, OR TAX ADVICE. SEE/disclaimer.
§13Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Funddata, albascape, and our directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, or damage (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your use of the Service; (c) your User Content; or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right.
§14Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FUNDDATA, ALBASCAPE, AND OUR DATA PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR DATA; OR TRADING LOSSES, REGARDLESS OF THEORY OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 100. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, IN WHICH CASE THEY APPLY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED.
§15Term & termination
These Terms remain in effect while you use the Service. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach or for operational, security, or legal reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, indemnity, limitation of liability, governing law) survive.
§16Modifications to the Service or Terms
We may modify the Service at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be flagged on this page and / or by email, with at least 14 days’ notice for paid users. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
§17Governing law & dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of [TO BE FINALIZED BY COUNSEL FOR YOUR JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will first be addressed informally by good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes will be finally resolved by binding arbitration administered by [PROVIDER — e.g. AAA, JAMS, ICC, LCIA] under its rules in effect, in [SEAT — e.g. Delaware / London / Singapore], in English. Each party may bring claims in their individual capacity only; class actions and collective arbitrations are waived to the extent permitted by law. Either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court for violation of intellectual-property rights.
§18Severability & entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms together with the Privacy policy, Disclaimer, and Copyright page constitute the entire agreement between you and Funddata regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements.
